Police: Adult store employee chokes, subdues robbery suspect
PORTLAND, Ore. - Portland Police said a robbery suspect was taken to a hospital after a store employee at the Fat Cobra Video store in North Portland choked him into submission early Friday morning.
Police said they were called to the adult video store, located on the corner of North Interstate and Ainsworth Street, just before 7 a.m.
While responding to the call, officers were notified that the suspect was already in custody at the hands of a store employee.
Police said the employee, who has not been identified, choked General Bell, 56, and was standing over him with a billy club.
Medical personnel responded to the scene and took Bell to a hospital. Police said he was conscious and breathing when taken away in an ambulance.
Robbery detectives said Bell simulated a weapon when he demanded money from the employee. He was arrested and charged with second degree robbery.

I wonder what criteria robbers use to determine who they'll rob? How much money could the place have on hand? Granted, most of their sales are most likely cash, but still. I think if I was a criminal, I'd do a better job at it.

@Billy Batts OMG! Can you just see this guy all gaged and tied up in the window with a sign that said this is what happens to people who try to rob me. And make him do some jail time in the window. We could even pose him different every day.
I'd have finished him off with a ball gag in the end, but it's hard to tell if this wasn't exactly what the perp was looking for. Â A couple of nights in lockup might be cheaper than hiring a qualified dom.

Typically when that is the case, there is criminal activity going on in additional (prostitution, which leads to drug dealing that leads to robbery etc).
