After accidental shooting, man tried to dismember victim, police say
SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) - Spokane police are investigating a shooting on the city's north side in which the alleged perpetrator also tried to dismember the victim with a hatchet.
Police responded to a home about 5 a.m. Tuesday and found one man dead in the basement.
Police say 19-year-old Jeremy McVicker allegedly accidentally shot the victim in the head, killing him.
Police say McVicker then tried to dismember the body in order to conceal the incident.
McVicker has been booked into jail for first degree manslaughter.

accidental shooting dismemberment lock him up
Oh dear god people have completely lost it. Â We need mental health reform NOW. Â Condolences to the family of the person that this guy killed. Â
Another responsible gun owner.
@correct Yet again you display an absurd, troubling inability to distinguish responsible behavior from criminal behavior.  Guys like YOU are exactly the ones we're talking about, who need to be identified and prevented from owning guns, knives, pointy objects and walls that aren't padded.Because the rest of us all know that an accidental shooting isn't responsible gun ownership. You're simply cracked.
@Playanekes funny how gun nuts state that only criminals commit crimes with guns, yet this person prior to this incident was a non criminal gun owner. I guess he was a responsible gun owner until he committed a crime then he was a criminal who should have never had a gun, right?
@Ramsesthegreat... Lost me @ "gun nuts". If you want to be part of the debate and have people respond in kind, try not to be offensive.Â
That would be a hard sell for me to believe that was an accident.
#1-ok accidents happen, Â #2-dismembering..no accident..you're done..
There were also witnesses?! Â What took so long to call the police, hiding your drugs first?! Â

After the allegedly accidental shooting, he then accidentally hacked the victim up. All purely accidental! Yup! Was he also accidentally caught?
@jpk lol, Obviously he made the right choice. I mean seriously who calls the cops or an ambulance when you accidentally shoot someone. The only logical answer is to cut the body up.
Allegedly!
don't they mean AXidently?
