Medical examiner: Woman found in Peninsula Park froze to death

PORTLAND, Ore. – A woman found dead in North Portland’s Peninsula Park Monday morning froze to death, according to the state medical examiner.
Wendy Marie Loren, 63, died of hypothermia, the medical examiner said. Police do not suspect any foul play in her death.
Someone called police to report Loren's body near a maintenance building at around 10:30 a.m. Monday
Detectives believe Loren, who lives in the 4600 block of North Michigan Avenue, may have wandered away from home and become confused. She was not properly dressed for cold weather, police said.

It was way cold overnight for some homeless person to be sleeping there. I'm surprised no-one yet made a disparaging comment about an "occupier".Â
kind of rude for the police to be smiling at the cameras

I wish the investigators well in figuring out what happened and why. I hope the victim can be identified for the sake of their family.
Weird moment for me. I just drove my son to Cascade campus PCC -- this park is just to the north of the campus. I saw the crime scene tape and the cops, and I said to myself "someone found a dead body in the park." Wait, check that, i said that to myself AND my wife on the phone (ok, bad me, on cell while driving).

I get home, and BAM -- bingo.
I'll wait for the update before commenting. Too many unknowns in this story!
