PORTLAND, Ore. – A bicyclist was injured early Tuesday morning when police said he ran a red light and hit a car.

Investigators said the cyclist hit the car near S.E. 7th Avenue and S.E. Morrison at about 2:30 a.m. The cyclist was injured and taken to OHSU but his condition has not been released.

Witnesses told police the cyclist had consumed alcohol at a nearby bar before the crash.

Police are investigating the crash. No charges or citations have been announced.
