Police: Loaded handguns found in car after 'gang associates' pulled over

PORTLAND, Ore. – Police said they found two loaded handguns in the car when they pulled over two men they described as gang associates on Tuesday night in Northeast Portland.

Manuelito Fernando Gonzales Jr., 22, and Brandon Marquise Duckworth were arrested after the stop at NE 3rd Ave. and Weidler St.

Police said they pulled the car over for a traffic violation and quickly learned that Duckworth had an outstanding parole violation.

They arrested Duckworth, then found the guns while they were searching the car.

Duckworth was charged with two counts of felon in possession of a firearm, as well as possession of a loaded firearm and unlawful possession of a firearm.

Gonzales was charged with felon in possession of a firearm, possession of a loaded firearm and unlawful possession of a firearm.
