Masked man attacks woman outside Corvallis home, police say
CORVALLIS, Ore. – A man wearing a ski mask and dark clothing attacked woman outside her Corvallis home near the OSU campus Saturday night, police said.
It’s the second attack this month where an unknown man attacked a woman from behind.
Police said the woman was walking from her home to her car in the driveway near Northwest 29th Street and Fillmore Avenue when the man tackled her to the ground and hit her several times in the torso.
The victim struggled with the suspect until he stopped attacking her and ran away. Her injuries are unclear.
The suspect is described as a white man who is 6’ to 6’3’’ tall and has an athletic, muscular build. The victim told police the man had dark eyelashes. He was wearing a black ski mask with one hole for both eyes, black athletic-style pants, white shoes and a dark blue hooded sweatshirt. The sweatshirt had a white circle on the back with cursive style writing that extended from the lower-left side of the circle to the upper-right side.
The attack occurred less than one mile from a similar assault on the OSU campus on Jan. 16, police said. The suspect in that attack knocked a woman down from behind. That suspect was described as a white man in his 20s with a “bulky” build, short dark hair and bushy eyebrows.
The victim gave police enough information for investigators to develop a sketch of the suspect (right).
Police said in a news release that they will “continue to investigate the possibility both crimes were committed by the same individual.”
Anyone in the area of NW 29th Street and Fillmore Avenue on Jan. 26 who saw anyone matching the description of the suspect, or saw anything suspicious, is asked to call the Corvallis Police Department at 541-766-6924.
Not to sound presumptuous, but the police sketch looks exactly like the guy on the left who is being interviewed in this news story. I hope this is just a coincidence. How ironic! Hope they catch the dirtbag!

For non-violent crimes the sentence should be a work camp at minimum wage until you have paid back the victims for any losses after you got past a minimum time period just for committing the crime.

Repeat rapes happen way way way to much and as a dad with 2 girls I feel the system is not looking out for my wife or the kids letting these guys off all to often with very little punishment.

Child rapists are one of the worst for repeating their crimes. My dad used to treat the patients locked up in salem and the officers that brought in the sexual deviants always said they are pretty much not curable.

Have a friend that works in juvy is salem right now and those kids are by far the most screwed up and most got that way because of an adult pervert attacking them.

The good news is that there are probably truckloads of college kids with the police sketch out looking for the guy. Corvallis is an awesome community.
Hopefully soon this individual will tackle the wrong female will no be able to walk away quickly. Mace would help, or as mentioned carrying your keys, with at least one sticking out.

Great job lady, struggling until he lets go and leaves. By gosh, I think we have a cyclops on the loose! Sounds like our boy buys his ski masks at a ski mask factory seconds store. Women please be aware of your surroundings at all times. Have your keys out with your fingers interlocked around the door key poking out as a wicked eye gouge. Scream like a banchee and don't let him force you into a vehicle or isolate you or all is lost. Good job on being a survivor.

The suspect sketch shows an "OSU" hooded sweatshirt, but the story doesn't mention that, only what's on the back. Was the sketch from the earlier assault? Also if he had a ski-mask on with holes cut out for his eyes, the holes must have been large to show his eyebrows. Hope they catch him soon!
