Police: Man broke into Eugene homes to view porn websites

EUGENE, Ore. - The woman came home to find her computer on, displaying pornography.
Nearby, she found lubricant, towels and a cell phone.
As she picked up the cell phone, she saw a man standing outside her rear sliding glass door. She called 911 as the man shouted at her, threatening to break the door.
He managed to open the door and stormed inside, threatening to kill the woman as he grabbed the phone and lube before fleeing the home at Van Buren and 22nd in Eugene.
That was March 20, 2012.
A little over a month later, a man came home during the noon hour to find a man in his home. The man fled out the back bedroom as the resident called police. They found the computer on with pornography on display and towels nearby.
As neighbors started to talk, more and more Friendly Street Neighborhood residents reported incidents to police.
Residents of a Polk Street home reported multiple break-ins between Sept. 20, 2011, and Oct. 20, 2011, where someone entered the home to surf porn sites on the home computer.
Police arrested a 21-year-old man Wednesday in connection with the break-ins. Antone Forrest Deedward Owens was booked on four counts of first degree burglary, one count of menacing and one count of coercion.
Police asked anyone who has experienced a similar break-in or knows anything about the case to call Detective Chris Vreim at 541-682-5192.

This whackadoodle needs to stop whacking his doodle in other people's places with other people's computers.
Nasty. And "Deedward"? Is that supposed to be like...De'Edward? Really? Good grief.
Good grief.... Get your own room and computer.... sticky keyboards for the victims..... probably a good idea to zippo burn the keyboards... yuck.
Oh Buckwheat... how the mighty have fallen.
too bad he didn't ever go to a library. they have computers for free viewing and they don't block porn.
The suspect is not surprising. He won't have a lot of street cred in prison though and will probably get laughed at.

On another note, password protect all accounts on your computer. Had the owners done this, this pervert would never have been able to get into the porn sites. Even my guest account has a password and only those who are friends or family will get the password.

@Bikerider  @RalphCramden That may be true but the casual person breaking and entering to view porn will not take the time to do all of that and move on.
@RalphCramden Ralph, your QR code icon is cool. Pretty clever idea.
@randola I was bored the other day and had nothing else to do. Figure I would spread the word.
That is good advice.

Not only that, but even simple passwords for all accounts make it more difficult for spyware and malware to function freely.
@Repoman If there is only one admin account than all the others will have to go through the admin to authorize upgrades or change the system or programs. I do this for all my computers and only I can authorize those changes. That way someone can't click on an attachment and install some nasty program or virus because they won't have the password to authorize it.
Looks like someone needs a girlfriend who's name doesn't end in .AVI
That's pretty desperate. Throw him in with the pound puppies!
@swimbad I think he is a POUND puppy
