Police: Suspect broke into home, sexually assaulted woman

PORTLAND, Ore. – Detectives arrested a man who they said forced his way into a woman’s home and sexually assaulted her at knifepoint last month.

Adam DeCamp Duus, 28, faces charges of rape, kidnapping, burglary, coercion, unlawful use of a weapon and sex abuse. The details of his arrest were not released.

The attack happened during the day on March 20, in the area of Southeast 174th Avenue and Division Street, police said. The victim did not know Duus, but police said he may have been stalking the woman before the attack.

Duus allegedly injured the woman during the attack. Her specific injuries were unclear. Her name has not been released.

Duus is scheduled to appear in court Monday.
