PORTLAND, Ore. – Portland police arrested three people Thursday for the shooting death of a 29-year-old man Wednesday night.

Police responded to a home in the 14800 block of Northeast Fremont Court at about 11:40 p.m. Wednesday after a 911 caller reported there were gunshots fired.

Police found Kenneth Ray Henry dead, and the medical examiner determined he died of multiple gunshot wounds.

After a search that included police dogs, police found three men a few blocks away near Northeast 152nd Avenue and Sandy Boulevard at about 3:30 a.m. They detained them at gunpoint and later arrested 23-year-old Xabien Robert Riley, 24-year-old Tracey Christopher Lomax and 21-year-old Marcellus Allen.

KATU News observed the officers with weapons drawn when they detained the three men at the Walnut Grove apartments.

"It's a quiet neighborhood, everybody pretty much knows everybody there," David Sanchez said of the apartment complex. "It's just, I noticed there's a lot of traffic and Section 8 people coming and going."

The men were taken to the Multnomah County Jail and face murder charges.

The investigation into the shooting is ongoing, police said.
