Police: Suspects arrested after attacking man with knife, broken bottle

WOODBURN, Ore. – Woodburn police arrested two men who they said attacked another man with a broken bottle and a kitchen knife.

The 37-year-old victim was taken to a hospital with stab wounds and cuts on his face.

Police arrested Arturo Dominguez-Ojeda, 20, and Alonso Dominguez-Ojeda, 25. The two are brothers, according to police.

Officers arrived at the 400 block of North Pacific Highway Sunday evening. Arturo Dominguez-Ojeda was holding a knife and both men had blood on their hands and clothes, according to police. Both men appeared to be intoxicated.

Witnesses told police the two men attacked the victim with a broken bottle and then with a kitchen knife. The victim was able to escape and run away.

Police told KATU they were not sure if the suspects and victim knew each other.

Officers arrested both suspects and took them to the Marion County Jail. The men face charges of third degree assault and menacing.
