Police search for suspect in SW Portland bank robbery

PORTLAND, Ore. – A man in his teens robbed a U.S. Bank in Southwest Portland Wednesday morning, police said.

It happened at the branch located at 2000 S.W. Salmon St. just after 9:30 a.m.

The suspect gave a teller a note demanding money and left the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash, according to Portland police spokesman Sgt. Pete Simpson.

The suspect is described as a white male in his teens who is 5-foot-8. He was wearing a black beanie.

Officers searched the neighborhood but they could not locate the suspect.
