Man arrested after shooting outside Portland bar

PORTLAND, Ore. – Police arrested a man who the said tried to shoot another man during a fight outside a Portland bar early Sunday morning.
No one was hurt.
It happened outside Jody’s Bar and Grill, located at 12035 NE Glisan Street, at around 12:30 a.m., police said. Security at Jody’s told police that the fight started inside the bar and continued outside.
Officers responded to a report of a shooting in the parking lot. Witnesses said the suspect and two women drove away from the scene.
The intended victim also sped off in a vehicle, police said.
Officers found one bullet hole in a nearby Taco Bell restaurant.
Gresham police officers spotted the suspect’s car and stopped it near Northeast 8th Street and Cleveland Avenue.
Officers found a handgun in the car that they believe was used in the shooting.
Police arrested Kace Adigun Talton, 30. He faces charges of attempted murder, unlawful use of a firearm, felon in possession of a firearm and reckless endangerment.
Talton was taken to the Multnomah County Jail.
I bet he was on welfare and voted for obama too.
 @thunderchief People like you make me sick ! get an education loser !
 @thunderchief He is a felon.... Means he can't vote.
 @thunderchief I think you're wrong.  I think he is one of the top 20 wealthiest Americans and voted for Romney.  <---See how stupid that sounds?
Dude needs to put in some range time. How embarrassing shooting a Taco Bell. I bet that made them run for the border.
Betting he probably has a record a mile long.
Wild guess: he didn't have a CHL. Who wants to bet?
This is the same bar where the woman how owned it several years ago was robbed and killed. Â Still attracting good people I see.
portland gang task force determined the two parties were from rival architecture firms based in the NE. each firm is fighting for its own designs to be adopted by developers who regularly meet at Jodys. ...well that's what word on the street is.
 @Phuzz  The Howard Roark Gang has slowly been spreading across the country. They refuse to utilize old school methods like pencils and T-squares for creating their designs, relying instead upon the new technologies like AutoCAD. There has been a marked increase in incidences of "T-squaring" where rogue architects and drafters sneak up on unsuspecting folks, slip the T-square between the victim's legs and pull back. It is brutal.
"... felon in possession of a firearm...", well!  I thought the government already ban that.
"Officers found one bullet hole in a nearby Taco Bell restaurant."Â Unfortunately, the "restaurant" survived its wound.
The bar and grill must have been the site for a handgun safety seminar? Not!
I was coming home from badcats at this time, last night (early this morn). They had used police tape to completely close 122nd near Tibbets. They turned us back and said there had been a shooting. Seems like everywhere I go lately, there's been an act of violence of some kind. I sure hope this is all just happenstance and not indicative of the climate to come.
 @Lips I heard all the cop cars go screaming  down  the street  nearby where I was and knew something bad was going down...and knew I would see it online later. This  larger general area is getting  a bit rougher than it was, it seems. even though some of it has developed "up" more than it was and brought some better changes.  The whole city is a whole lot rougher than it was decades ago and it's not just from an influx of people, it's the rough thugs that are seeming to proliferate like cockroaches all over everywhere, and people who lack any common decency anymore acting out. I just saw a "couple" get into a huge violent fight in the  grocery store 2 days ago in the  middle of the afternoon in front of everyone including grannies and babies. Unbelievable. Security  had to get them out of there.
 @Lips  Dang Lips, sounds like you're living in your own episode of the X-Files! It's probably that cake batter ice cream Bad Kitty fed you. We all know about those bad cats!

 @Scotty9  @Lips Hey!!!!!!
 @Lips  @badcatÂ
Â
I've often wondered how many people cats have killed and made it look like the dog. Totally plausible.
 @badcat  @LipsÂ
Â
You know what they say, it's only funny cause it's true! I'm, more of a dog person, but lately I find myself liking my Siamese more than my Jack Russell. maybe I'm changing as I get older?
 @Lips  @Scotty9 LOL .... Ok, guilty as charged!!!!
 @badcat  @Scotty9 Hahaha... well you did just give me a book (which I love) titled 'How to tell if your cat is plotting to kill you'...
 @Scotty9 LOL... That was very disturbing, Scotty.
 @Lips  "Seems like everywhere I go lately, there's been an act of violence of some kind." Careful there, Lips: Some people might take that as a self-incriminating statement.  ;-)
 @HenryBowman Rock solid alibis, always. ; ) Badcat had just made me the best waffles I've ever had. Topped with cake batter ice cream, berries, and whipped cream. Yummy.
 @HenryBowman Cookie dough has nothing on cake batter. You're gonna love it. Wow, haven't had homemade ice cream since grandma passed.
@Lips .......stop it. You're killing me. Any leftover?
 @Lips  Sounds great! One of my favorite things to do is make ice cream. I'd never heard of cake batter ice cream. It will be next up on my list of new recipes to try.
I sure can't wait until things that hurt other people are made illegal.
Â
When that happens people like this everywhere will turn their guns, knives, and kitchen sinks in. Then we won't have to worry about this sort of thing anymore.
 @Lo Pan You can have my silicone spatula when you pry it from my cold....
 @Lo Pan  Kumbayah!
You will be waiting a long, long time!
Northeast.........no surprise ! After midnight........no surprise ! Suspect.........?????
No surprise too.
These crimes here, almost every day. It gets old.  This isn't Detroit, it's mellow Portland...or that's what it used to be.  Something has to be done.  I've never seen so much crime/hate/violence in our city and I've lived here all my life.
I hear you K. Michelle. I move here in 1975 to escape the L.A. crime environment.
I thought it was Heaven on earth in Portland. Now, I don't know anymore.
Maybe time to move again.
@K. Michelle Pendley .......but northeast is becoming Detroit because of a neglectful city council and the previous mayor that was the head of the PPB.
Uh, but he did a lots of bike lanes, he also ban guns downtown :)
@tptpttp .......you're right. I forgot how effective that was. (Sarc).
Every day they catch another felon in possession.Â
It's time to throw the book at these guys BEFORE they murder somebody. Mr. Prosecutor, don't plead him out!
These kind of things seem to happen at this place more often then not. Yikes. To much booze and naked girls! Lol.
Right across the street from the cop shop.  Just goes to show that losers like this have a mentality that is so far from normal that we should be scared.  This is such a great time for the anti-gun idiots and our (can't say it here) politicians wanting to take our guns away.  All guns, not just certain ones is their goal no matter what they tell you.  Then felons, like this guy, will have a field day.  Especially with the liberals who believe that  putting whackos like this guy into mental facilities or sending them to a head doctor will fix everything.  Â
Ironically, that's right across the intersection from the Multnomah County Sheriff's Office.
"...felon in possession of a firearm..."
Â
Doesn't this guy know that it is illegal for him to carry a gun? Laws just don't seem to work for criminals, so let's pass more laws that don't work. Yea, that makes a lot of sense especially if one is a Democrat.
 @RalphCramden The MCSD HQ is right across the street. I wonder why they didn't arrest the felon for possessing the firearm.
I mean, somebody could sue the county for failing to protect the citizens.
 @Playanekes  @RalphCramdenÂ
Well, we HOPE they don't hang out at strip clubs while on duty..Â
 @Playanekes  @RalphCramdenÂ
MCSO didn't arrest him because they patrol unincorporated Multnomah County, not the City of Portland. And they don't hang out at strip clubs (at least not while on duty).
His new legal name is "Kace Minusagun Talton".
Â
Thanks, I'll be here all week. Â Don't forget to tip your waitress!
"Kace Adigun Talton"Â Even his name sounds dangerous.
Sometimes guns don't kill people.
When keeping it real goes wrong.
 @Riley35 He was just keepin' it real wrong.
