Police arrest man in fatal Christmas Eve shooting of brother

PORTLAND, Ore. – Police arrested the brother of a man Friday after they say he shot and killed his brother on Christmas Eve.

Mickey Omega Rolin, 62, faces a charge of murder after police say he shot and killed his brother 61-year-old Terry Lee Rolin. Mickey Rolin is being held in the Multnomah County Jail.

Family members say a fight broke out between the two brothers, which led to the shooting. The family has not said what started the fight.

The shooting happened around 5:30 Christmas Eve at a home in the 3600 hundred block of 67th Avenue in Southeast Portland. Public records show Terry Rolin owned the home with his older brother, Mickey, and other family members.

Mickey Rolin was taken to the hospital to be treated for injuries.

Paramedics treated Terry Rolin at the scene but they could not save him.
