Police search for suspect after Portland bank robbery
PORTLAND, Ore. – Police are looking for a suspect who robbed a Downtown Portland bank just before noon Monday.
A man armed with a handgun robbed the U.S. Bank located at 410 Southwest Harrison Street, police said.
Officers detained a man who matched the suspect description on a TriMet bus at 6th Avenue and West Burnside Street, but released him when they released he was not a suspect.
No one was hurt during the robbery.
Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call Detective Brett Hawkinson at 503-823-1080.
"Police search for suspect after Portland bank robbery"Â How many robberies could be prevented if, instead of looking for a suspect AFTER a crime has been committed, they would locate and arrest perpetrators BEFORE the crimes transpired?
'but released him when they released he was not a suspect.'Â ??????????
K2, would it be too much to ask if you guys could hire someone with some -remote- understanding of grammar and journalism?
Judging by the description, we've all seen the suspect.

@feral All the files documenting that missing $2.3 TRILLION were in the part of the Pentagon Building that was destroyed on 9/11....FACT!
Source of that "fact"Â Â ???
@feral .....time to take your meds and go lie down.
Obviously he needed the money! He had to ride a Tri-Met bus!!!
Did he gave the bus driver some dye stained money?
I wish there were a few more details in the article; such as, was he arrested or just detained? Did they find a handgun or any cash on him? I had to laugh at a couple posts below suggesting a better get away strategy than TriMet.
Me thinks he might want a better get away car.
