PORTLAND, Ore. - Police said Tuesday evening they had found the body of 59-year-old Renee Suzanne Sandidge-Crowell, whom they had been looking for since they were called to her home on a welfare check Friday night.

Her landlord Gary Alan Lewis, who lived in a separate unit of the home she rented, is wanted for her murder.

Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward of up to $1,000 for information that leads to an arrest in this case. Tipsters can remain anonymous.

Tipsters can text CRIMES (274637) and in the subject line put 823HELP, followed by the tip, or call (503) 823-HELP (4357) and leave the tip information. Tips can be left in English or Spanish.

Police said they found Sandidge-Crowell's body on the property of the home at 3934 N.E. 66th Ave. They're sending the remains to the medical examiner's office for positive identification and an autopsy.

The situation at the house escalated as the weekend wore on. A SERT team came and launched tear-gas cansisters into the house Saturday, and homicide detectives were called in later.

Police began a search for Sandidge-Crowell, labelling her disappearance suspicious.

Neighbors said Lewis and Sandidge-Crowell did not get along, fighting frequently.
