PORTLAND, Ore. – Police and public safety officers are investigating a sexual assault at Portland State University.

According to the PSU Department of Public Safety, the assault happened Tuesday just after 5:00 p.m. in the first floor restroom of the Academic and Student Recreation Center.

Police said the suspect followed a woman into the restroom, exposed himself and assaulted the woman by "touching her in a sexual manner."

The victim is a 27-year-old PSU student.

After the attack the suspect fled on foot.

The suspect is described as a white male in his 30s, 5 foot 8 inches tall with a medium build. Police say he is still at large.

On Wednesday, Portland State and police released security camera images of the suspect. They show him walking through the rec center and riding a MAX train.
