Police investigating two armed robberies in Vancouver

VANCOUVER, Wash. – Police are investigating two armed robberies in Vancouver that happened about an hour apart early Saturday and appear to be related.

Police said a man was walking alone near 30th and V St. at 3:45 a.m. when four teenage boys got out of a green sedan and demanded his money and wallet. One of the four went behind the man and fired a gun in the air. The man gave up his wallet, and the car headed west on E. 32nd St.

Then, just before 5 a.m., four males robbed the 7-11 on E. Fourth Plain Blvd. One, who had a chrome pistol, fired it into the floor behind the counter as he was taking money from the register.

A witness saw the group get into a green sedan similar to the one from the earlier robbery.
