Police look for suspect who might have been taking up-skirt photos

PORTLAND, Ore. – Portland police are looking for a man they said was possibly using a cell phone to take up-skirt photos at a clothing store.

A 34-year-old woman told officers she was at the Ross Dress for Less store on Northeast Halsey on January 13 when she saw a man crouch down behind her.

She confronted the man, who then walked away, according to police spokesman Sgt. Pete Simpson.

When the woman was in the check-out line the suspect got behind her in line and was asked to leave by an employee.

The employee said he saw the suspect bend down and it appeared he was taking an up-skirt picture with a cell phone, Simpson said.

Simpson said the suspect is a Hispanic man in his early 30s. He is about 5’9” tall and around 160 pounds. He has black hair, brown eyes and was wearing all black.

Anyone with information about the suspect or the case can email CrimeTips@PortlandOregon.gov and reference case 13-5036.
