Janice Lynn Ernest.

MOLALLA, Ore. – The Molalla Police Department says it is looking for a 62-year-old woman who was reported missing from her home Sunday morning, March 16.

Police say Janice Lynn Ernest suffers from bipolar disorder and is believe to be off her medication.

On Sunday night, March 23, the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office said police responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle in the 16000 block of Butte Creek Road near Molalla. After investigating, authorities said they determined it is Ernest's 2005 white Buick Rendezvous.

Police say they believe Ernest may have wandered into the forest near where her car was found. Search crews have responded to the area Monday to conduct a search.

They say she hasn't been on her medications for at least a week and will likely be confused and disoriented.

Ernest is about 5 feet four inches tall, weighs 125 pounds and has sandy brown hair and blue eyes.

Police say they don’t believe she has her cellphone and she may not be able to find her way home without help.

At one point, policed said they had obtained information indicating Ernest may have gone to the Vancouver, Wash. area.

Anyone who has information about where Ernest may be is asked to call 503-655-8211 and refer to Molalla Police Case # 14-0474.
