Police release names in Forest Grove hit-and-run investigation

FOREST GROVE, Ore. – Police on Wednesday released the names of the people involved in a hit-and-run crash on Highway 47 on Tuesday.

Police said the driver who left the scene is 48-year-old Timothy Sabrowski of Gaston. They said he wasn’t hurt and that he’s cooperating.

Travis Johnson and Stephanie Wirfs-Johnson of Gaston were in the other vehicle. Johnson, 35, was ejected from their Jeep Liberty and has life-threatening injuries. He is in critical condition at Oregon Health & Science University.

Wirfs-Johnson, his 30-year-old wife, was released from the hospital with minor injuries.

Their three children who were in the car, who are 11, 13 and 15, weren’t hurt.

Johnson wasn’t wearing a seatbelt, police said, but everybody else in the SUV was.

Police said they are still investigating the crash.
