Police say men beat up fellow campers who asked them to lower music

VANCOUVER, Wash. – Two men were arrested for beating up two fellow campers who asked them to turn their music down, Vancouver police said.

Andrew Mortensen, 30, was charged with two counts of first-degree assault and one count of felony harassment, and Michael Nottingham was charged with one count of fourth-degree assault.

Police said the suspects also threatened the victims with a gun, and threatened a third person after she reported she had called 911.

The confrontation happened around 1 am. Sunday morning on a beach off Lower River Road, police said.

One victim suffered facial injuries, but nobody’s injuries were life-threatening.
