Police say woman hit two bicyclists and drove off Saturday night

PORTLAND, Ore. – Police arrested a 32-year-old woman who they said drove off after hitting two bicyclists Saturday night.

Lisa Lynn Vesely was charged with third-degree assault, DUII; failure to perform the duties of a driver and two counts of reckless endangerment.

Police said Jasmine Zamora, 30, and Cameron Duff, 25, were riding on SW Beaverton-Hillsdale Highway near 50th Ave. when a dark-colored car hit them from behind and sped off.

Zamora was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, and Duff was treated at the scene.

Duff and a witness said the car drove back by the crash before police arrived, then kept driving west.

Another witness flagged down police and said they had followed the car to a home in the 5700 block of Beaverton-Hillsdale Highway. Police went to the house and arrested Vesely and seized her car.
