Police search for Plaid Pantry robbery suspect
PORTLAND, Ore. – Police are looking for a man who they said robbed a Plaid Pantry store in Northeast Portland early Sunday morning.
The suspect walked into the store located at 6630 NE Glisan St. and showed the clerk a handgun, police said. The suspect took all the cash in the register and threatened to shoot the clerk.
Officers searched the neighborhood, but could not find the suspect.
He’s described as a Hispanic man with a medium build and a goatee. He was wearing black pants and a black hoodie.
We never wore a hoodie anywhere. In track the uniform was "hooded sweatshirt" and sweatpants. I do have a couple of "Hooded Sweatshirts". No reason to call it a "hoodie", not sure why people wanted to change the name of an article of clothing for no reason.
Â
Hopefully the store had video of the robber. If so, hopefully it is clear enough to make out who it was.
One store that was robbed a couple of years ago, had a sign near the door, to not wear a hood when entering. But then someone complained, so they had to take it down.

The Plaid Pantry clerks do not make enough money to have to worry about nutcases coming in waving a weapon.
More hoodie crime in the NE hood.

It's time to close the hoodie-show loophole!
@Rob C 503 Ever notice that katu.com uses the word "hoodie" when referring to a non-white suspect? If the perpetrator is white they will use "hooded sweatshirt".
