Police search for man who robbed NE Portland restaurant at gunpoint

PORTLAND, Ore. – Police are looking for a man who robbed a Northeast Portland restaurant at gunpoint Thursday night.

An employee at Roakes Restaurant, located at 1740 N.E. Columbia Boulevard, told police that a man armed with a handgun walked into the restaurant just before closing time and demanded money.

The employee gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of cash. He was last seen running southbound on the nearby railroad tracks, police said.

No one was hurt.

The suspect is described as a white man in his 30s who is 6-foot-2 with a chunky build. He was wearing a blue hoody and tan pants.
