Deputies: Bank robber who held knife to woman arrested

CLACKAMAS, Ore. -- Sheriff's deputies Tuesday arrested a 17-year-old boy who was wanted in bank robbery in Clackamas on Monday.
The Clackamas County Sheriff's Office said the suspect, who was caught on security cameras, held a large silver knife to a woman's throat and demanded cash from a teller during the robbery at a KeyBank Branch on SE 82nd Avenue.
The woman was not hurt. She told KATU News she felt bad for the suspect, who she said seemed scared.
Tuesday, 17-year-old Salvador Ramirez Navarro turned himself in at the sheriff's office public safety building. Detectives said he admitted to committing the robbery.
Navarro faces one count of robbery in the first degree, which is a Measure 11 crime.
Detectives said they are investigating the possibility that Navarro received assistance in the last 24 hours. They did not recover any of the money stolen during the robbery.
Navarro is scheduled for a 2:45 p.m. appearance on Wednesday in Clackamas County court. He was taken to the Donald E. Long Juvenile Detention Center where he will stay Tuesday night.
Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to contact the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office's confidential Tip Line at 503-723-4949.

Thats a pretty good pic. He would of been ratted out pretty quickly anyway.
Great police work, getting criminals to turn themselves in. Saves investigation money.
Someday soon he'll get to go to crime college and learn how to be a real criminal courtesy of the Oregon taxpayer.
He's 17 years old - and turns himself in! Measure 11 crime...oh man!
Nice job, bucko!Â
Jeez, when will these bank robbers learn all they need to do is hand a note to the teller? This turd actually held a knife to someone's throat?? That should pretty much triple his sentence.. Way to go, genius.
Nice calling card you left....
He's going to see the picture and say "Oh, mang! My hair don't look good."  Is that a -butter- knife?
Knife violence! Be a reactionary, outlaw and ban all knives except for the politicians.
Anyone still think more gun laws will lessen violent crime?
Â
@Jack_Bauer No you genius. But it might stop innocent people from being shot to death.Â
 @lakeview Think again brainiack.
Law abiding citizens who have had their rights infringed will still be shot to death. And at a far higher rate.
Find him in the dictionary under "punk".
WOW, who would have ever thought that a poor "hispanic" mexican would rob a bank or hold a knife to a customer. Guess I have been mislead I thought they were here to work and become legal citizens.
Â
Oh well the idiot will find a way to give him and all of his relatives the dream etc.

@nwipac That's what it looks like to me.

The victim might not have known it was a butter knife..
Happy Valley, once again, isn't such a happy place.
Post signs that it's a crime free zone.
Maybe neighborhood watch signs.
Then things like this wouldn't happen.
Idiot. Just couldn't wait for amnesty could you?
More American knife MADNESS!
