Search continues for missing 14-year-old boy
PORTLAND, Ore. – Police are asking for the public’s help finding a missing 14-year-old boy who they believe is in danger.
Antonio Paredes was last seen running out of his house in the 16100 block of Northeast Glisan Street at around 7 p.m. Saturday night.
His family told police that he ran away while he was upset. They believe Antonio may be a risk to his own safety.
He’s described as a white male who is 5’4’’ tall and weighs 130 pounds. He has short, black hair and blue eyes.
He was last seen wearing a white hoodie jacket with blue letters on the chest, a long sleeved blue and white flannel shirt, dark jeans, a baseball cap and K-Swiss tennis shoes. Police said Antonio also has a backpack with him.
Family members said he frequents the skate park at Ed Benedict Park, as well as Pioneer Square.
Anyone who sees Antonio or knows where he may be is asked to call 9-1-1.
Hey, nice hat! Â You buy a hat like that, you get a free bowl of soup. Â Oh, looks good on you though.
@dboon4 I'd smack my kid if he came home wearing a hat like that.
Parent of the year...
Why are runaways making the news these days? I'm sure he'll be home when he gets over his "mad"
@myopinion240 actually, it'll be when he runs out of money and wears out his welcome wherever wigga-de-whack -teens hang out these days.Â
@myopinion240 I bet there is more to his "running away" story than is posted here.  I appreciate the press for publishing the missing kids.  It is ore imposrtant than a lot of other fillers.  He is someone's son, brother, grandson, and friend.
Apparently he came home and is safe.
@Sundowner Where did you learn of this?  I can't find anything that says he's home safe....
@eyeonchina  @Sundowner he is not home his grandmother is a friend of mineÂ
@eyeonchina I read it somewhere, that he'd come home and was fine.  But now I can't find it, so who knows?
I hope this has a happy ending. I'm sure the fashion police will catch him.
I will keep my eyes open, I hope Antonio is found, safe and sound. I can still remember being a teenager, although it's been a long time, and it was hard at times. People calling him a brat must have been perfect all their lives, never making any mistakes, and have perfect children, too.
There is also a boy same age missing from Bethany area.:Josh A. Valdez has gone missing as of Friday the 25th. Please help spread the word, he was last seen in Bethany at 5:00pm last night. He was last seen wearing a black old navy shirt with the american flag on it, blue jeans, and black and white shoes. If you see him, do not approach, immediately call 911
@Fitness_22 Can you post a photo and provide a link to it? Some folks don't seem to care as much when it's a teen who goes missing, but it's just as scary for the loved ones. Good luck finding Josh!
 @gofigure  @Fitness_22 Here's the linkÂ

@Fitness_22  @gofigure A comment on the link says he returned home safely.
They should digitally alter the photograph to remove his moustache in case he's shaved it off. People often alter their appearances to avoid detection.
@PDX_Fanatic Oh man, that's not nice!
Dudes at a friends house getting stoned and playing video games. Relax. Â
they should make not wanting to do your homework a felony
Has he run away before? Is he medically endangered? Or was he just mad at his parents? Why is he at risk for his own safety? Additional info would be good.
@jpk It would be interesting but actually isn't our business. Â
I would agree with you, but when the police asks us for our assistance and this request is broadcase by the media, it becomes out business to know as much as possible. How can you help anyone with one hand tied behind your back?
@jpk He's at risk for his own safety because a 14 yr old brat that can't understand that he's expected to follow the damn rules and simply do what he's supposed to do is not capable of making acceptable decisions for himself.
@starshadow  @jpk Us to be that a parent could do what was necessary physically to keep the kid home and safe (grounded). Now the authorities get involved and the parents get in trouble for abusing the child.
 @DJK  @starshadow  @jpk OMG so true!
@starshadow You certainly could be correct in your assumptions, but maybe simmer down a bit. Unless you personally know this family, you don't know what's going on with this young man. At 14 years old, and just 5'4'' and 130 lbs, he may be being bullied. There may be problems in his home, or fighting between other family members, and/or he might suffer from depression, or is frustrated by a learning disability. There are MANY reasons why he might be upset, and harsh judgment should be reserved until you know more.
@Mike Smith You forgot to add "FACT" at the end of your post. :-P
Yet, fourteen year olds can be left home alone, and also be babysitters. Acceptable decisions by a 14-yr-old? Plenty of 18-yr-olds have a difficult time making acceptable decisions.
With the jacket and cap, plus hanging out at that skate park and pioneer square...most likely he ran to his gang for support...he "ran away wiile upset". LEO or whoever is looking for him should start with his gang buddies. Oh, I forgot..NE Portland doesn't have those problems........
Yeah because all kids who wear hoodies and caps are in  gangs.....please

@Mike Smith You're 100% right about football, however taking an undue interest in somebody else's teenage boy is kind of creepy.
@Mike Smith Sounds good.  If you are sincere be a big brother or some organization as such.  There are plenty of kids needing a good adult mentor.  Your fingerprints will be taken and background checked.
Â
Who knows you could have alterior movitives of be on a watch list yourself. Â When you say "die fat lazy pig." Â You sound like a crazy person. That alone coming out of your mouth it the biggest warning sign. Â
@my2cents  @Mike Smith I agree....the big bro that "wants to help people" is spouting some sad/creepy red flag trash. Â
@Mike Smith I like how you tell him size dont matter then throw out a size he may or maynot meet at that age!?!?
@Mike Smith kudos to you. go home kid, please.no matter the issues at home, your parents are worried sick and care. i know this because i have a 14 yr old son, and this could happen in any 14 yr old kids world. just because he hangs at a skateboard park doesnt mean he is in a gang.
When they find him, I hope they'll take that hat away from him. It's wigga-de-whack.Â
@correct Wow....such relevance to the crisis at hand.  Your concern is the hat?
