SALEM, Ore. -- Police are looking for the gunman in a shooting in Salem Tuesday night.
Officers were called out to Silverton Road NE and Williams Avenue NE and found a 21-year old man suffering from a gunshot wound to his arm. Police said the wound was not serious and he'll recover.
Police said the suspect was in a dark colored sedan that drove up alongside the victim while he was walking on Silverton Road at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The gunman got out of the car, exchanged a few words with the victim, and then shot at him several times before driving away.
Officers believe the shooting is gang-related.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic man in his early twenties. He's about 5'8" tall with a stocky build. If you have any information about the case, call the Salem Police Department.
