Police: Man shot to death outside Salem bar
SALEM, Ore. – Police are looking for suspects after a man was shot and killed outside a Salem bar early Saturday morning.
It was the first of two shootings in less than an hour, according to police.
The first shooting happened just after 2 a.m. outside Shooters Café and Saloon on Silverton Road.
Police found 28-year-old Justin De La Rosa dead near the door. The suspect has not been found.
Police said they were looking for a white newer model Ford Mustang convertible that may have been connected to the shooting.
Police said Sunday they located the car, but did not release any additional details.
About 30 minutes after the first shooting, officers responded to another shooting outside the 501 Cantina bar on Portland Road. Police said one person was shot several times.
That victim’s condition is unclear.
Police have not found a suspect in that shooting.
It’s unclear if the shootings are related.
You guys have no respect for this family/friends. Wow this guy who was killed was born here and not only hispanic but native (first culture to be here in america) how sad he had nothing to do with gangs or drugs to be shot to death!!!! Grow up what if this was your child who it happen to no matter what race he/she is.

Wow, the hate here is disgusting. It amazes me how outwardly racist our world is. It's 2012! Besides., if you are a white, European-American (like I am), all of our ancestors came here illegally. The original inhabitants to this country were Native American persons. Besides, where did this talk of illegal immigrants come up? Just because this man is hispanic? Talk about profiling.

You might want to get a better grasp of how to write your native language first....but setting that aside, you must admit that there is a huge portion of the posters on this boeard that scream illegal every time a latino name pops up. You have no way to know if they are illegal or citizens in cases like this.Â

Using a mugshot for the deceased is the first clue. He is well known to the Marion county justice system.

People really need to control their drinking habits; the name of the bar does fit the murder scene. Boy, Salem is becoming like Portland now, so now it's time to carry my bulletproof vest around.
Why would you carry your vest around? Usually one wears it before going out the door. Are you going to ask the person who is going to shoot you to wait while you put your vest on?

Actually this country is built by "Legal" immingrants, people who obeyed the laws and rules to move here from other countries. This country is being torn apart by the "illegal invasion" from the southern border. The people who immigrated here legally, then became "legal citizens", are the ones who try to make this country strong.
Those who willingly and knowingly break multiple laws to enter, are the ones who are destroying the country. They take from those around them. They use and abuse the system in place to help others.
Until the southern border is locked down, there will be problems. As the southern border seems to have the majority of law breakers entering "Illegally"

We may all be created equal, however it is what we do from there that matters. Many are entering the wrong way, illegally. They know they are wrong, and they also know that the wimps in the government will not do anything about enforcing the laws.

sport, you might attempt to do some research. What percentage of hispanic on hipspanic crimes are committed, versus Canadian against hispanic, or German against hispanic or African against hispanic? From my point of view, if a hispanic is shot near a bar, more than likely it was another hispanic that did the shooting. All it will take on your part, is to do some research. Not being a bigot, just looking at the news daily. It is sad that so many can not see the damage being done to this country because the government does not want to enforce laws.
