Marion County sheriff’s deputies are searching for a man who reportedly flashed a woman on a busy road late at night.

A woman called 9-1-1 around 10:30 p.m. Monday about a man who exposed himself to her while she was walking along the 2200 block of Northeast Lancaster Drive.

Police said in a release that the victim told them the man, who was wearing a ski cap on his head, walked past her and mumbled something. Then she turned around and discovered he had converted the ski cap into a mask to cover his face. His genitals were exposed, and he was masturbating.

The woman told police the man started to chase her until she stepped into traffic to call for help.

She described the suspect to police as a white male, 5’11" to 6’ tall, with an average build. He was wearing a dark jacket, jeans, and the ski hat/mask.

Anyone with information about this case should call police.
