Robber hits SE Portland bank, gives police the slip

PORTLAND, Ore. - Police are trying to track down a robber who hit a local bank.
Just before 3 p.m. Thursday, a man walked into the Key Bank at 4600 S.E. Woodstock Boulevard and handed a demand note to a teller.
The man made off with an undisclosed amount of cash and then fled on foot. Police said no weapon was seen or implied.
Police and a K-9 unit searched the neighborhood but did not find the suspect, who is described as a white male between 40 to 50 years old who was wearing a dark-colored hoody. He was around 5 feet, 5 inches tall with a slim build, very short hair (almost shaved), and a clean-shaven face.
Anyone with information that can help investigators is asked to call Detective Brett Hawkinson at (503) 823-1080 or the FBI's Portland office at (503) 224-4181.
Surprised they didn't catch any sort of glimpse of him on camera. I am seeing a lot of banks with the cameras that point directly at your face at every teller window.
No weapon was seen or implied, but the suspect was later found to be in possession of a gub.
Whywould the robber give the police the slip? Was it a deposit or withdrawal slip? Probably the withdrawal slip! LOL
Another one. Time to ban hoodies.
What an in depth story. Â Glad to be able to help track down this person who did something.
Remember the basics of journalism? Â Who what where when why and how? Â Probably not huh. Â There my response has as much content as the entire story. Â How sad. Â But hey you lived up to your motto right?
