Portland police seek help identifying shooting suspect

PORTLAND, Ore. – Portland police are asking for the public’s help identifying a man accused of shooting another man multiple times at a home in Southeast Portland earlier this month.

Police on Monday released a sketch of the suspect, who they believe confused the victim with a previous tenant at the home.

The shooting occurred at a home in the 3600 block of Southeast 49th Avenue on July 22.

The 28-year-old victim was taken to a Portland hospital with multiple gunshot wounds. Police said he is continuing to recover from his injuries and they expect him to survive.

The suspect is described as a white man who is about 5-foot-9 and has a thin build. He was unshaven and wearing a maroon hoodie with sunglasses.

Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information that leads to an arrest in this case.
