Police seek public's help in finding father of dead baby
Police are looking to speak with anyone who has seen or heard from 20-year-old Dylan Michael Nelson since Dec. 7.

Police are asking the public for help in locating the father of a baby found dead in an Estacada park earlier this month and released new details Monday in the hope that witnesses will come forward.

Gladstone police say the 19-year-old mother of a 5-month-old baby told them Monday, Dec. 9 she believed her baby had been murdered and his body had been disposed in a Clackamas County park.

Based on the information she gave them, police found the baby’s frozen body near a tree stump very early in the morning the next day near a trail in Milo McIver Park.

Police say they believe the baby died at the Budget Inn in Gladstone and was taken to the park, Saturday, Dec. 7 by his mother and father, 20-year-old Dylan Michael Nelson in a blue colored 1989 Chevrolet Blazer with an Oregon license plate. The car had a broken passenger window. Police have since found the car.

Police say the baby was taken into the park in a soft-sided maroon colored bag.

Gladstone police want to speak with anyone who has had contact with Nelson since Dec. 7. or who was at Milo McIver Park that day between 11:15 a.m. and 2 p.m. Nelson hasn’t been seen or heard from since that day.

Anyone with information about this case is asked to call Gladstone police at (503) 557-2792.
