PORTLAND, Ore. – Police detained and released two people after a report of shots fired in Southeast Portland Wednesday morning.
Officers responded to a report that someone fired several shots from a handgun on Southeast Powell Boulevard near 134th Avenue around 11:15 a.m.
No victims were found at the scene, according to Sgt. Pete Simpson, but several people ran from the area.
Officers and K-9 units searched the neighborhood and detained two people, Simpson said. The two were released after police obtained their identities. No arrests have been made.
No other details were immediately released.
