Police swarm SE Portland 'chop shop'

PORTLAND, Ore. - Members of the Portland Police Special Emergency Response Team (SERT) served a search warrant at a home in Southeast Portland early Tuesday morning and made one arrest at what they called a "chop shop."
Police said the SERT team was activated because they were concerned there may be armed subjects in the home, located in the 6900 block of SE Crystal Springs Boulevard.
Officers arrested 22-year-old Jewell Marie Millspaugh, who faces charges of unlawful use of a vehicle, possession of a stolen vehicle and criminal mischief.
The action comes after a two-week investigation and complaints from neighbors who told investigators cars were going up and down the street at high speed and there were other problems related to the residence, police said.
Police said they found stolen vehicles, car parts, motorcycle parts, car audio equipment and more at the residence. Officers said they planned on being at the scene for several hours Tuesday morning.
No homes near the residence were evacuated during the SERT operation and no injuries were reported.
Millspaugh is being held in the Multnomah County Detention Center on $15,000 bail.
I'm telling you man, American flag.
you'd think they would try to bring less attention to themselves.
I wonder if I could stop by and see if they have a front right fender for my old 68 Ford Fairlane?
 @onceagain Good one LOL
A chop shop in felony flats..... I'm shocked
 @kramr Most real Oregonians refer to "Felony Flats" as the area in southeast Salem between the state pen and the women's prison. That's where the wives live near the prison so the family can be closed to their loved one, or else.
 @Dienekes4160Â
Well the prison has not been there that long, and actually the women's prison in Wilsonville has contributed more to hat areas home growth than the menâs' has (grandparents trying to keep the children of inmates close to their mothers).
Â
But when my grandmother was a child that area was called Galen Heights and was an area "no respectable person was from". Errol Heights, Brentwood and Darlington, all bad areas.
Â
I know i lived there in the '80s and my friend lives in his family home near Whiteman still. His garage gets broken into every year. This last years they actually used a trowel to scratch a hole large enough for a meth head to get in to steal stuff this last time.
Â
So I would call THAT area felony flats.
@Repoman @Dienekes4160 LOL! Has there ever been a community called "Brentwood" that wasn't a hell-hole?
Â
I'm thinking we could solve the tweaker problem by telling them there are free drugs at the bottom of the Willamette.
"Felony Flats" has no geographic limitations!
