Police trying to identify body that was in Willamette for as long as two years

ALBANY, Ore. – Police are asking for help identifying the body of a man who was found along the banks of the Willamette River in Yamhill County on April 19.

The body had been in the water between six months and two years, police said.

The man was either Hispanic or mixed Hispanic/Caucasian, was between 20 and 30 years old and was between 5-foot-3 and 5-8.

He had a bandage around his lower right leg, which could have meant either an injury or a chronic condition like tendinitis.

Police created a composite sketch during the investigation.
