PORTLAND, Ore. – Two men were injured in a house fire early Friday morning in Southeast Portland, firefighters said.
Portland Fire and Rescue spokesman Ron Rouse said crews arrived at the house, located at 2021 SE 161st Ct., and found flames coming from the garage and a car in the driveway.
Investigators said a propane heater malfunction in the garage caused the fire, which spread into the house through the attic.
One man suffered minor burns to his arms and head, Rouse said. He didn't go to the hospital.
The other man drove himself to the hospital as a precaution. The nature of his injury was not released.
The fire caused $85,000 in damage.
