Update: Portland police say Joshua Murphy was found downtown Thursday and is no longer in danger.

PORTLAND, Ore. – Portland police are asking for the public’s help in finding a missing and endangered 14-year-old boy.

Joshua Murphy may appear sick or confused, police said. They said he was last seen July 7 in the area of Southeast 39th and Powell. He may remain in the area, because he is familiar with it, police said. He is not familiar with the TriMet system.

He is white, 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighs 130 pounds.

He was last seen wearing a dark green shirt, khaki cargo shorts and black sneakers.

Police warn that if someone sees Murphy they should not approach him or try to detain him. They should call 911.
