PORTLAND, Ore. -- Forget putting a bird on it. Try putting it into a book.

Fred Armisen and Carrie Brownstein have done just that. The fourth season of their hit sketch comedy series "Portlandia" is airing on the Independent Film Channel and the stars' new book officially hits store shelves Tuesday.

Armisen and Brownstein were on hand at Powell's City of Books in downtown Portland on Sunday to sign copies of "The Portlandia Activity Book" for fans. The book is full of the pair's funny ideas to keep readers busy on rainy days.

"I appreciate the fact that they love Portland enough to come here and do this," said fan Eva Montano. "It's just another thing to put Portland on the map."
