Portland police investigate inside Little Things on Lovejoy after the owner said she was robbed and then tied up Monday night.

PORTLAND, Ore. – A woman said a man robbed her and then tied her up at her Northwest Portland jewelry store Monday night.

The victim, the owner of Little Things at 1720 Northwest Lovejoy St., told police a man was shopping at about 7:15 p.m. when he went to the counter to buy something but instead pulled out a pocket knife and demanded money from her.

The victim, who is eight months pregnant, said she gave the man money and then he tied her up and fled the store. The woman was able to untie herself and call police.

The store is more of an arts and craft shop than a high-end jewelry story. The woman’s husband said the suspect took some of their products but not her iPad or cellphone.

The suspect is white, in his late 20s and is 5 feet 6 inches tall, police say. He was wearing dark clothes, a backpack, a black baseball cap and had a reddish-gray goatee.
