James Martin got said "no" to twice and never got a penny from ABC's Shark Tank judges, but he could be named the most successful entrepreneur in the show's history.

He pitched the idea of wine in a plastic cup called Copa Di Vino. It's the same single serving drink you'll now find at Madison Square Garden, Disney World and Radio City Music Hall. His company now worth millions is headquartered in Martin's hometown, The Dalles.

In his tasting room on Friday, Martin told KATU, "In my mind I'm representing The Dalles, Oregon. Having an Oregon boy not get schooled by a bunch of sharks is a big part of my motivation for sure."

Keeping his business in the same town where his family's lived for seven generations was a primary reason he wouldn't buckle and agree to a deal the sharks put on the table.

"I don't need Ferraris. I don't need private jets. I need a thriving community and a great place to grow my family and we have that with this," Martin said. He went on to say, "They really missed out on an amazing opportunity."

Next, Martin says he'll keep growing his company, with the goal of becoming a $100 million company and a wine heavyweight in the Northwest.
