Relative: Body of baby recovered in Wash. slide

OSO, Wash. (AP) - A relative says the body of a 4-month-old girl has been found in the debris of the deadly Washington state landslide.

Dale Petersen said Thursday he and other family members "were told that it was her." Petersen is the great uncle of Sanoah Huestis, who was with her grandmother when last Saturday's mudslide hit.

Petersen said he wasn't at the site at the time her body was discovered. But when he arrived on scene to help look for survivors, work had stopped in his area and a firefighter informed him and others that they had found her.

The girl's grandmother, 45-year-old Christina A. Jefferds of Arlington, Wash., died in the slide. The Snohomish County medical examiner's office identified her Wednesday.

The mudslide hit the small town of Oso about 55 miles northeast of Seattle.
