Local rib joint, owned by Snoop Dogg's uncle, is closing

PORTLAND, Ore. - A local rib restaurant that has, in the past, come under fire for smoke from an outdoor barbecue is closing down.
Reo's Ribs, located at 6141 SW Macadam Avenue, is shutting down not because of the problems they have encountered over the smoke, but because the lease is up.
We called the rib restaurant to find out where they might be moving and were told that at this point it's all up in the air. Co-owner Myra Girod said they are looking at three different spots that might be a good place for them to land, but a final decision has not yet been made.
The restaurant first opened in 1999. Co-owner Reo Varnado, who the restaurant is named after, happens to be the uncle of rap superstar Snoop Dogg.
It's not Snoop Dogg anymore - it's Snoop Lion.  He's a reggae artist now.  Hello???

@Derek2mk Do you have any evidence that any restaurant personnel are involved in criminal gangs? If not, why wouldn't we want them in our community?
I love that place. I hope they find a new location.Â
"snoop dog" is a racist.
I never thought the quality at Reo's was where it needed to be. Often over cooked and dry. Now Cannon's.... That is some good ribs..
Lease is up? Why won't the owner renew the lease? Hmmm...
I'm surprised they stayed open as long as they have, worst ribs ever! Dry, over-cooked, horrible! Terrible service, so so sides, nothing redeeming about the place whatsoever.
Come to SE 82nd, REO!
Perhaps Tualatin.. we could use some more choices !
Closing the day before election.......interesting........very interesting indeed.....
@NiKnowZ What in the hell does it have to do with election day?
@noneofyourbizzness  @NiKnowZ Probably some racist theory about blacks, the white house and good BBQ.
Went there when they were in Aloha, darn good food.
@JTesla Yep, they should have stayed in Aloha.  We need a good rib place around here.
Fo shizzle, I need to get my ribzizzle, bizzle.
