Injured Vancouver woman airlifted from Mount St. Helens after fall

A Vancouver, Wash. woman was airlifted from Mount St. Helens Thursday morning after she fell into a snow cave Wednesday night. It happened at the 7,000-foot level.
The call came in around 9 p.m., according to Skamania County Undersheriff Dave Cox.
"We got a call from a person in her group," said Cox. "She had fallen and was injured."
Cox said the woman, 28-year-old Alana McCammon, was not seriously injured. She was on Mount St. Helens with 25-year-old Kyle Knight of Alaska.

Climbers reached McCammon on Thursday morning and called for a helicopter to take her to the command post. She was taken by ambulance to PeaceHealth Medical Center in Vancouver. A spokesperson for the hospital said McCammon is in satisfactory condition.
