Right 2 Dream Too co-founder arrested during police confrontation

PORTLAND, Ore. – A co-founder of Right 2 Dream Too was arrested by Portland police Thursday night.

According to a post on the Right 2 Dream Too Facebook page, Ibrahim Bilal Mubarak was arrested under the Burnside Bridge for not getting onto a sidewalk.

Mubarak was arrested while members of the group Right 2 Survive filmed an encounter with police. The Facebook post said police were harassing homeless people who were sleeping under the bridge.

Supporters planned a rally outside the Multnomah County Justice Center ahead of Mubarak’s court appearance at 2 p.m. Friday.

Mubarak was arrested and booked under his legal name, Keith Jackson. He faces one misdemeanor count of interfering with a police officer and one misdemeanor count of trespassing.
