Salem police conduct drug raid near Enchanted Forest
Salem Police, with help from Oregon State Police troopers, are executing search warrants related to a narcotics investigation at a large property south of Salem.
“It’s part of an ongoing narcotics investigation,” Okada told KATU.
The property is near the intersection of Squirrel Hill Road and Delaney Road across from the Enchanted Forest.
Okada there are several structures on the property.
He said he could not reveal what kind of narcotics are at the center of the investigation
Lt Gregg Hastings of the state police said that at least one armored vehicle was involved in the operation.
I thought the Enchanted Forest was exempt from all those make-believe crimes & ridiculous laws Salem creates out of thin air.....Nothing's sacred anymore.
Opium poppies? Only a few "narcotic" plants out there, and I don't think coca will grow up here.
I often have thought that the "Enchanted Forest" is what Disneyland would look like if Walt Disney only had fifty bucks...Â
Well, duh. Â Have you seen the size of the mushrooms in that place?
It was across the freeway and north of Enchanted Forest. We drove by going south on I-5 and there was men in camoflague with guns along the freeway and a large armored vehicle by an out building.
@Momofone Exactly what we saw. The men in front were in camo and moving along the fence and you could see more in the woods. Plus there was the big armored vehicle.
AW man! don't torch all that weed dudes
A firearms instructor and friend of mine when up into the woods with his girlfriend to sight in their hunting rifles in the woods last weekend, heard some noises and discovered a cartel operation loading trucks with freshly-cut marijuana. Scary! Â
Did they get GPS coordinates and report it to LE? As long as the loaders did not see them, they could have reported it.
Think of the Reward for turning that in. Look up rewards offered by the U.S Gov. for Snitching//Err Turning in Crimes. IRS gives you the most $$$.
OK, was it AT Enchanted Forest or Across the Highway (I-5)? If across the highway the headline is sure bad publicity for Enchanted Forest.
@Yamhill354 I fail to see how "near" enchanted forest is bad publicity for them.  Now if they found the log ride AT enchanted forest was modified to a hydroponic pot grow.  I'd see your point.Â
@MooseKnuckle @Yamhill354 It's those Nomes that they have there. Know wonder they are allways Happy.
