Salem police want help finding armed female robbery suspect

SALEM, Ore. - Salem Police Department Detectives are asking the the public for help identifying a woman who held up a convenience store earlier this month.
Police said the woman walked into the Corner Market, located at 2809 Market Street NE in Salem, at about 7 a.m. on November 4 and pointed a black-colored handgun at the clerk while demanding money.
The suspect then fled from the business in an unknown direction, police said.
The suspect was described as a white female adult, approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall, with a heavy build and wearing a blue beanie-style cap, blue coat with a dark colored hood and tan pants.
Anyone with information is asked to call Salem Police Detective Anthony VanDeKoppel at 503-588-6050, extension 7153.
Grandma!!!
With that hat I think she has to be called "the Marge Simpson bandit".
@xilef regnu That's definitely Marge Simpson from Springfield
She doesn't look strong enough to even chamber a round.. My guess is it's an airsoft pistol she bought at Walmart or some place.
This crime is getting to be much too common. They just arrested another female in Portland who committed
three armed robberies in one night. I don't care about the sex, race, or age of the criminal, but they should all
face federal charges for using a gun during a crime and go to the slammer for a minimum of 10 years!Â
Was it even a real gun?
 @fracas That's what I was thinking.
Too bad the person in the picture off her port quarter did not have a shotgun.
Â
Also, what is the difference between a "black-colored handgun" and a "black handgun"?
Very scary. She knows nothing about guns. She has her finger on the trigger. The clerk is lucky he didn't get shot accidentally.
@RalphCramden If she has her finger on the trigger she does know how to make the gun go boom-boom
 @Lost River Â
Yes she does.
Â
The picture is pretty poor but it looks like she has a Glock. No safety other than the trigger tab.
 @RalphCramden I'd be surprised if she knew enough to load the darned thing!
 @Gravity Works!Â
My guess is that she is desperate at this point. There are not a lot of women that rob convenience stores at gun point.
 @Gravity Works!  @RalphCramden would you want to be in front of her to find out?
