Sellwood Bridge reopens early after 3-day closure
The bridge was closed while crews installed 27 concrete girders.

PORTLAND, Ore. -- The Sellwood Bridge will reopened to traffic at 1 p.m., three hours earlier than originally expected on Friday.

The bridge was closed to drivers, bicyclists and pedestrians for three days so crews could install 27 concrete girders between the east approach columns of the new bridge.

The new bridge is expected to be completed in the fall of 2015.
