Server issues causing problems for state's websites

PORTLAND, Ore. - About 90 percent of all Oregon state websites have been down for hours, that's according to NIC, the private company that handles all of Oregon's government web traffic.

NIC says one of their main servers in Texas is acting up, causing the delays and crashes.

KATU checked several sites, including Oregon.gov, the DMV's site, and the state employment office, each one turned up an error message.

NIC says they have "all hands on deck" trying to fix the problem but don't know how long it will actually take.
