Youth softball coach accused of sex crimes

ALOHA, Ore. - A local youth softball coach is accused of sex crimes and investigators believe there may be more victims out there.
Jeremy Dickey was taken into custody on Dec. 13 and since then, detectives say they have found evidence of more crimes.
Dickey is currently charged with first-degree sodomy, third-degree sodomy, two counts of second-degree sex abuse, first-degree unlawful sexual penetration and tampering with a witness. He is accused of having inappropriate sexual contact with an underage girl in the spring of 2012.
Over the summer, Dickey coached a teenage girl's softball team called the Beaverton Blaze 98. Police say the underage female he is accused of having sexual contact with was not a member of the team, but investigators are concerned about the girls who were.
If your child had contact with Dickey, police want to know about anything that was out of the ordinary, suspicious or inappropriate. You can call the Washington County Sheriff's Office at (503) 846-2500 to make a report.
okay i am friends with this mans daughter and another friend of mine is friends with his daughter as well. Never since we have known them have we EVER seen ANYTHING like this. False accusation! This man is innocent so all of you who say otherwise shut the hell up. seriously none of you know the full story so do not even try saying otherwise. dont think you know it because you dont.Â

Of course if this was a female coach doing a male baseball player it would be ok. People would be lined up to high five the kid.

It sounds to me like it wasn't just him saying lets do this. Yes he should have said no but why is it that he is the only one in trouble here? She shouldn't have pursued him or maybe she should have said no.

Finally KATU is informed enough to not try to promote this criminal as having a "relationship" with a child. And that's all. Fully noting instead that this is a CRIME. A felony offense. And there may be more victims he has perpetrated futher felony offenses against.Â

This man was my Crew Leader for the 2010 Census. He does not look like this in real life. He was a great fun nice guy to work for and this totally shocks me. He has a family as far as I know and was just a regular family guy.

Don't worry a softball coach named "Dickey" will get all the attention he deserves while incarcerated. Remember, if it don't say "Dickey" on the label then it's not real "Dickey"Â sausage.
If found guilty, he perhaps needs some treatment. Special treatment that will not allow him to sexually abuse children.
Hopefully the total true story will come out, and KATU will report it . Most people have a little common sense, realizing that it is against the law, to have sex with a "minor" or someone under age. As he is an adult in age at least, he should know that. If he was unable to find someone his own age, perhaps he should have looked elsewhere.
If found guilty, then prison or something to make him aware of his mistakes.
