Flights resume at LAX after technical problems

PORTLAND, Ore. -- According to the federal government, takeoffs and landings have resumed at Los Angeles International Airport after a computer problem grounded flights for more than two hours Wednesday.

The airport tweeted that the FAA issued a "ground stop" beginning at 2 p.m. due to "computer issues."

It's unclear how widely airports across the country were affected, but according to Portland International Airport, operations there were normal.
